An Orblic-Nostalgesic Episode
September 6th 2007 05:17
Just reading over my posts with a beer in hand, I've gotten kinda nostalgic.
I need to admit, some of the stuff I've written makes me think "Now THAT'S why you're no professional writer Al." And the comments I make - Woo! Who is this guy? I think I've made a wise decision by leaving the blog commenting Opto behind for now. I might make something positive of this side of my personality one day, but for now this guy is taking early annual leave (he has earned paid leave, right Jon?).
I think the most underrated post I've done would be Karma Drama Pt 2, which makes me smile every time I read it. But enough about me.
It seemed like me and Dusk were headed for a fisticuff showdown for a while there (trust me she would have won), and I'm surprised how well we patched things up. Its rare that I'll have an all out argument with someone and then forget about it three months later. Ah yes the power of the written word.
I always thought David was the man around here. Although he does still have that air about him, he's managed to keep a thing or two against me since I let loose on his side of the fence. That blog commenting Opto, I don't know...
And Ash is that pot of gold on the other side of the rainbow. I love being in her headspace when I check out what's fresh on her sites, as down to earth and funky as she is (don't know how you juggle the two).
Lilla is another one of those people who I can see myself relating to on a regular basis, although in a more twisted way. I like reading her stuff when she's not doing anything official and just milling around commenting on whatever she feels at the time.
And Lily. The cause behind the reason. I don't know how she found my site back at the end of last year, but she kept me interested in this orble world from the start. She was the only person to comment on my first few posts, and helped me realise how close the internet makes us all. I want a mum like that one.
Everyone who has ever commented on either of my sites, thank you. I really could use the feedback, but I don't think I have licence to do the same.
Don't worry, I'll grow up one day. Ta-ta.
