How to boogie in Brazil
January 11th 2007 08:07
Its that time of the year again. My procrastination in learning Portuguese has been proven in the fact that I'm in Australia, while fashion week is going on over in Rio.
You know how it goes - hip gyrations, booty shakin - the language of lust. THAT is the dance of Brazil. But the fashion? When they cover up, that is?
I 've gotta say, there's two Brazilian models that have grabbed my attention over my curious career (ie too many holes in it), the first being Isabeli Fontana. A lotta charisma in this girl. She is my height and my age, so the day I saw her at the Bondi Markets (I guess Australia isn't that bad), our eyes locked - she smiled, I did my infamous half-smile-bearing-teeth ritual, and we continued on with our own business.
With my 40inch waist, that definitely proves that opposites attract.
Isabeli, do you remember?
The second Brazilian "supermodel" to attract my attention was Adriana Lima. She's got to have a Brazilian flag tattooed on her somewhere... or so I figure. Wikipedia quote: "The third highest paid model in the world."
With an amazingly sensual figure and face, most men would be stunned on sight.
Me? I've never seen her in the flesh, but if I did the curiousity to uncover her personality would overrule the thought of walking on by - and if we do, it was her, not I.
I am not sure if these women are at Rio fashion week. I do know that within my lifetime, these are the women to look out for. So down to earth, so sensual, so time to cut the cheese... Anyways, next time I hit the street corner with an Ice Tea and a cigarette, remember, "He's scoping."

Ooh la la,
I've never looked like that nor acted like that, maybe I missed out on something.
Don't they make an awful lot of coffee in Brazil?
Most men look, few stop to buy.

Speaking of which, neither have I. These people are aesthetically pleasing, to whichever part of the body/mind it suits.
Song playing: Roy Ayers, Love is Just a Moment. An ode to your irony.

Thought I'd add my too nonsense worth...
"Tall and tan and young and lovely, the Girl from Ipanema goes walking..."
Isabeli is pure sultry elegance on the catwalk and Adriana just oozes sex....
there are quite a few Orble men (and physical world men and women)
who go ga ga over Adriana.
Beauty should always be appreciated. That's why it exists.
Brazilians just seem to have less hangups about sexuality....sexuality,
humanity, equality, liberty, positivity.
...it would be nice if they had less poverty.
I hope you are well.
