Serenading 2007

Ah yes twas a beautiful year. Old friendships were rekindled, others went out the door in which to find greener pastures to while away their lives.
New friendships were made, and some of them didn't even last the year. Chances are one or two of them will pop up in the New Year and we'll be asking one another why we didn't keep in contact. One of us may take the blame, even though there really is no blame to be taken.
Women have waltzed in and soon after quick-stepped out, from one side of the heart to the other. I have either stayed up late and drunk wine with them, or stayed up late and danced with them. It seems to be that the way they left suggests they wished to leave an impression, and they did not fail.
Catch me staying up till sunrise drinking and dancing as if I had found someone to do both with.
Some time in the studio was spent, in which to further my own little way of making music. This time around I took a step further and actually made videos in which to set them in the background. Orblers cheered and jeered accordingly.
It is also the year in which many people were introduced to me as a writer. This was generally the case when a friend had recommended my blog to someone over recommending them to meet me. People generally liked what they saw, one person even offered me work off the strength of what she read here.
Oh yeah and then there was work. I have recently started with the work that was offered, but it has changed into a more musical role. I have been underestimated once again. The Community Playgroup which I have been working at all year, I intend to continue there. I know I play an important role and I would miss the responsibility as well as the people I work with (and for) if I moved on.
As the future becomes clearer, so does the past. And vice versa.
Happy New Year.
